No Pipeline-Protect Our Land
For two hours on the evening of August 5, citizens of Chatham County had the opportunity to express their opinions to the Chatham County Board of Commissioners about the possible methane gas line that might be installed in western and southern Chatham County. Candlelight Vigil for Congressman John Lewis
Vigils and other observances were held all across the country to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis, who was a tireless fighter against injustice and for equal voting rights for all. Chatham County Dems Sponsor Blood Drive
On July 16, Alston Chapel Church in Pittsboro was the site of a blood drive that was sponsored by the Chatham County Democratic Party. Donors were greeted by Chatham Dem volunteers who performed the preliminary check-in and then provided snacks and beverages at the end. We had 31 people sign up, 23 successful donors, 8 first time donors for a total of 25 units collected! (There were 2 Power Red donors, which counts as double.) Hot Days-Cool Treats
The hot temperatures kept everyone inside, but there were still plenty of cool treats to share along with good conversations about both political and non-political topics. Chatham Democrats Celebrate America 250
Chatham County Democrats took part in the America 250 Community Celebration that was held on Saturday, June 27 at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center. During the celebration volunteers shared information about getting involved with Chatham Dems by volunteering or making monetary donations, all of which serves to elect Democrats. Chatham Bridge Brigade

Pittsboro, NC June 14, 2026 While there were multiple messages in the hearts and on the signs of the approximately 75 people who gathered at the Historic Courthouse in downtown Pittsboro, the overriding theme was Flag Day. Canvassing in East Williams Precinct
The Chatham County Democratic Party is so fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteers who do the important work of canvassing voters here in Chatham County. Kids Over Corporations Rally
On May Day 2026, Chatham County educators joined thousands of educators and their families, friends, and supporters from all over North Carolina on Halifax Mall in the government complex in Raleigh. Thank you to everyone who came to the No Kings #3 rally in Pittsboro! It was a beautiful gathering with an enthusiastic, engaged crowd, estimated at 1,500 by the Sheriff's department.
