East Meets West (Pittsboro)

The Community House in Pittsboro was the perfect place for citizens of East and West Pittsboro precincts to come together for a joint meeting to socialize, brainstorm, and meet a few candidates. The meeting took place on Saturday afternoon, May 9.

Facilitated by precinct chairs Matthew Markie (West Pittsboro) and Anne Geer (East Pittsboro), the meeting featured remarks by Chatham County Democratic Chair Sue Blalock; incumbent county commissioner and current candidate Franklin Gomez Flores; Chief Deputy and candidate for sheriff, Steve Maynor; and candidates for Board of Education, Sarah D’Amato and Diana Hales. Students from Northwood High School were also present.
