Candlelight Vigil for Congressman John Lewis

Vigils and other observances were held all across the country to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis, who was a tireless fighter against injustice and for equal voting rights for all.

With the theme of Good Trouble Lives On, dozens of local citizens took part in a candlelight vigil at the Historic Courthouse Circle in Pittsboro, NC on Sunday evening, July 19. There was singing and spoken word in honor of Congressman Lewis. Many Chatham Dems participated.

Information was also distributed that described how everyone can check their voter registration in preparation for early voting, which begins on October 15.

The event was sponsored by Indivisible Chatham NC.
