School Supplies for Siler City

Many Chatham County Democratic Party donors made it possible for Siler City area students to start their school year off right with new backpacks, notebooks and many other school supplies that were available at no cost at the CORA and Boys and Girls Club facilities in Siler City on Saturday, August 8.
In addition to collecting, sorting, and transporting the school supplies, Chatham Democratic volunteers distributed the free school supplies to excited students who came with their parents and siblings to choose from the dozens of items, including books, that were available for students at every grade level.
County Commissioner Franklin Gomez Flores visited both locations in Siler City to record and post brief social media videos to encourage area residents to participate.
Another school supply giveaway will take place on Saturday, August 15 from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club in Pittsboro.
