Siler City Dems Host Candidate Meet and Greet

On the evening of August 20, 2026, the Siler City Democratic Community Engagement Center was the site of a candidate meet and greet with three democrats who will be on the ballot for the general election in October and November.
Hosted by West Siler City Precinct Chair Pam Hawe, Congressional candidate Richard Ojeda, State Senator Natalie Murdock, and Sheriff Steve Maynor each had a few minutes to speak formally with the full house of Siler City area citizens. Following that, there were breakout sessions where attendees had an opportunity to speak personally with each of the candidates and enjoy the abundant food and refreshment that was offered.
Also present were candidates for the Chatham County Board of Education, Sarah D’Amato in District 3 and Diana Hales in District 5.
