Unite for Justice brought Democrats from 40 different NC cities and towns together with a Zoom teleconference where North Carolina Democratic legislative leaders Senator Sydney Batch and Representative Robert Reives joined NC Democratic Party Chair Anderson Clayton to share the importance of a great voter turnout and voting the entire ballot in 2026 election in November.
On the evening of May 20, emphasis was on the judicial candidates for the NC Supreme Court and the NC Court of Appeals. In addition to Batch, Reives, and Clayton, we were joined by Justice Anita Earls, Justice Allison Riggs, Judge John Arrowood, Judge Toby Hampson, Judge John Arrowood, and Judge Christine Walczyk.
All of the presenters on the call delivered a message of the importance of electing all of our Democratic candidates to restore balance to the Appeals and Supreme Courts.
Here in Pittsboro we had the good fortune of hearing from a special guest presenter, District Court Judge Joal Broun, who reinforced the message delivered by the video team, plus she answered questions asked by our local audience.
School Board candidate Sarah D'Amato was present to hear the presentations by judicial candidates and to speak informally with voters about their interests in Chatham County schools.
The evening was hosted by Chatham County Democratic Party Chair Sue Blalock.
