"Walk for Peace" comes to Siler City

On day 88 of their 2,300 mile “Walk for Peace” from Ft. Worth, Texas to Washington, DC., the Buddhist Monks ended their day in Siler City, NC at Jordan-Matthews High School where they were greeted by and spoke to more than 1,000 people.


The monks were presented with pins and a proclamation by Siler City Mayor Donald Matthews, Jordan Matthews Principal Adam Lutterloh, and Chatham County Sheriff Mike Roberson.
