Turning Anger Into Action

Chatham Democrats meet at the Democratic Community Engagement Center on every second Monday from 2-4 p.m. for the purpose of writing postcards and letters. The next meeting will be on Monday, May 12.

To close the loop on the most recent card and letter campaign, Chatham Democrats plus others from outside of Chatham County met at the Federal Building in Raleigh on April 22 to deliver these messages to Senator Thom Tillis’ office. We welcomed the non-Chathamites who had learned about the event through the Mobilize signup website.

About a dozen of those present were permitted just inside the entry to the building, but no farther. Here they met with a staff representative of the Senator’s Raleigh office who received the letters and listened to comments and questions from our group.

Following delivery of the cards and letters, the group marched with signs around the Federal Building and nearby Moore Square in downtown Raleigh.
