Have you wondered why your members of congress are probably hiding from you instead of facing the harm of the GOP-agenda head-on?

It's because the guy in charge of Republican congressional campaigns, North Carolina's own Rep. Richard Hudson (NC-09), told them not to talk to you. He's the guy who said "no town halls" when it became clear that the American people weren't going to be silent when Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the GOP-majority in Congress came for our healthcare, retirements, and our jobs.

On the evening of April 24, there was a town hall in Saxapahaw, NC, which is in Hudson’s congressional district (NC-09) that includes all of Alamance, Hoke, Moore, and Randolph counties as well as portions of Chatham, Cumberland, and Guilford counties. Many Chatham County Democrats joined the more than 1,000 people in attendance.

Led by the Chair of the North Carolina Democrats Anderson Clayton and following opening remarks by DNC Vice Chair Reyna Walters-Morgan and NC Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls, US Senator Chris Murphy (CT) and Congressman Maxwell Frost (FL-10) spoke and answered audience questions about the real issues facing North Carolina. As a special treat, NC House Representative and Democratic Leader Robert Reives was also there to address specific issues important to every North Carolinian.
