Senator Murdock Ignites Rally Crowd

There was a "Down with Doge" rally with the North Carolina Democrats at Bicentennial in Raleigh on March 12th. Chatham County was well represented at the rally.

The Trump administration is saying they're improving government efficiency, but they're really just cutting jobs and funding to make room in the budget for tax cuts for their billionaire friends.

We won't accept cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security. We won't accept DOGE firing Forest Service workers who saved lives in Hurricane Helene. We won't accept Donald Trump and his co-president Elon Musk tearing our government apart from the inside out, and we're going to let Thom Tillis and the other Republicans rubber-stamping the Trump-Musk agenda know how we really feel.

Speakers included Chatham County’s own Senator Natalie Murdock, NC Democratic Chair Anderson Clayton, NC Senator Graig Meyer, and a surprise appearance and speech by Special Counsel Hampton Dellinger, who was fired by Donald Trump for the crime of pursuing legal action to restore all fired probationary federal workers back to their posts.

Down with DOGE.
