What better way to celebrate the Earth Day 2023 weekend than to kick it off with a Friday night ribbon cutting at Rachel’s Native Plants at The Plant in Pittsboro.

Lots of Democrats were on hand for the event, including North Carolina First Lady, Kristin Cooper, who was present to share in the ceremony and later tour the facility. In addition to opening remarks by Mrs. Cooper, the audience also enjoyed brief speeches by Pittsboro Mayor, Cindy Perry and Chatham County Commissioner, Katie Kenlan who also helped cut the ribbon.
