Leader Robert Reives Files for Re-election

Monday, December 4 was the first day of 2024 candidate filing in North Carolina and it was a big day for the Reives family too. Supporters of our representative, House Democratic Leader Robert Reives, were present as he filed for re-election to NC House District 54 at the Chatham County Board of Elections.

It takes true commitment by Robert to serve the state of North Carolina in the General Assembly. It also takes a huge commitment by his family. The countless hours in Raleigh and elsewhere in the state places huge demands on everyone in his life, especially his family.

Politics runs in the family, with Robert’s father, Robert, Sr., serving as a member of the Lee County Board of Commissioners. He was also present on Monday afternoon.

A big shout out to a third generation of Reives as daughter, Brianna, took the occasion to register to vote. What better way than registering to vote is there to take part in the democracy that her father helps to defend in the North Carolina General Assembly!
