Abortion and Women's Rights Protest

An abortion and women’s rights protest was held at the Historic Courthouse in Pittsboro on Monday evening, June 27, 2022. While the event was not sponsored by the Chatham County Democrats, many were in attendance and took part in the protest. The event was organized by two 19 year old women and was attended by many young people who felt compelled to express their outrage over recent decisions by the US Supreme Court. The Chatham County Democratic Party supports all efforts to focus attention on a woman’s natural right to her own body.
