Pages 1-4: URGENT CALL TO ACTION ON REDISTRICTING! The GOP-drawn redistricting maps were released last week and the NCGA is expected to vote on them this Wednesday or Thursday. Make no mistake -- these maps are BAD NEWS for all NC Democrats, and will almost certainly solidify the Republican Supermajority in the NCGA, put House Democratic Leader Robert Reives in a tossup district, and result in Democrats losing three or four seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. There are actions each of us can take NOW, in the first half of this week, to ensure that our voices are heard LOUD and CLEAR in Raleigh. This is your LAST OPPORTUNITY to be heard before new maps are adopted and the matter goes to the Courts, where the outcome is unclear. There may be rallies organized this week in Raleigh as well, so keep your ears open for more opportunities to be heard. The information here will give you the tools you need to make an impact. SHARE THIS INFORMATION ASAP WITH YOUR VOTERS, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.

Pages 4- 6: New upcoming CCDP-sponsored events have been added, including an upcoming discussion on climate change at the Community Engagement Center on November 13. And don't forget about the New Hope Precinct Meeting on October 24 , featuring NC Supreme Court Justices Allison Riggs and Anita Earls, which will be live-streamed on Zoom courtesy of the Fearrington Democratic Club.

Pages 6 - 7: New items have been added to our "Other Upcoming Events: section, including a "Coffee with CORE (Community Organizing for Racial Equity) event at the Chatham Community Library on October 27. There's also a new event from Red, Wine & Blue featuring Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer,
